WHY HYGIENE KITS MATTER
Having basic hygiene supplies is a human necessity.
For people experiencing homelessness, access to soap, toothbrushes, feminine care items, and other essentials isn’t guaranteed. Without these, everyday health becomes harder to maintain, and dignity and mental health suffers.
How hygiene kits change the game:
● Protects health and prevents illness – Clean hands, clean skin, healthy feet, and proper hygiene tools prevent infection and disease
● Supports dignity and confidence – A basic kit helps someone look, feel, and engage with the world differently
● Strengthens community care – Packing kits as a group builds connection and compassion for vulnerable neighbors, while providing a sense of purpose and mission that brings teams together
● Provides financial margin – When you are getting by on only a few dollars a day, soap or a toothbrush can be distant luxuries. With provided hygiene supplies, those precious finances that can be spent on food, transportation, and housing

We make it simple to host a hygiene pack event in a way that works for your group.
Your organization gathers hygiene items and packs your kits.
How it works:
1. You receive a customized item list and suggested quantities.
2. Host a donation drive (post in your church bulletin, company newsletter, social media, etc.)
3. Gather volunteers to pack kits together
4. A City Relief representative will kick off the event with story telling and direction
5. Your team drops off completed kits at City Relief, or schedules a pick up

Have City Relief supply the hygiene items. We’ll make it easy for you to pack!
How it works:
1. You choose a date, location, and number of kits you want to assemble.
2. City Relief ships (or delivers) the item packs to you.
3. Your group gathers to assemble them and serve together.
4. A City Relief representative will kick off the event with story telling and direction
5. Your team drops off completed kits at City Relief, or schedules a pick up
Perfect for organizations with limited storage or time, but who still want a powerful team activity.
What To Expect At Your Event
City Relief supports you every step of the way:
● Planning guidance (checklists, timelines, and best practices)
● Volunteer coordination tools
● Packing station setup tips
● Suggested prayers, reflections, and tie-in resources for groups
